Do you compress images added to the image library?

Your design team has made a truly beautiful logo with a suite of infographics in eye-popping 4K. Now you’ve imported it to Proposify and the text is fuzzy. What gives?

Our page dimensions (for standard monitors) is:

Letter (8.5 x 11): 816 x 1056
Legal (8.5 x 14): 816 x 1344
A4 (8.3 x 11.7): 797 x 1124

To save server space and keep things fast, we resize images to a max dimension of 1344 pixels (width or height) to fit the largest dimension we can hold. For example, that beautiful logo with a 5,376x4,000 pixel size would be shrunk to 1,344x1,000 pixels.

We do everything we can to ensure that the quality of that resized image is as high as possible. If you have some small text in your image, though, you might notice that the text can become fuzzy.

If you like your copy crisp, it's best to resize or create your image to suit your page dimensions. Looking to have a banner at the top of your proposal? You’ll only need a max width of 816 pixels for that banner. Looking for a full-page graphic to add to an A4 page? The image is best set to 797x1124 pixels.
